What is the Traderoom system?

Swedbank offers its customers to conduct their everyday currency exchange and currency risk management transactions through an advanced electronic trading platform called Traderoom.

Traderoom

Traderoom is a section of the Swedbank Internet Banking site geared towards customers who conduct currency exchange and currency risk management transactions and require various financial market information, as well as offering a fast and convenient transaction environment.

Traderoom offers an alternative to trading using the bank’s dealer services, as well as being a hub of information on global financial market developments, information on the latest exchange rates, etc. Most importantly, this platform provides the bank’s customers with a fast and user-friendly environment for carrying out currency transactions.

Currency transactions

Currency transactions in the Traderoom system are available on business days between 09:00 and 16:45 while the informational sections are available on a 24/7 basis.

Presently, the following transactions are available in Traderoom:

  • Spot transactions (immediate currency exchange)
  • Forward transactions (currency future transactions)
  • Swap transactions (currency swap transactions)
  • Deposits (from overnight deposits to deposits with 1 year maturity).

The following minimum amounts apply to currency transactions in Traderoom: for Spot, Forward and Swap transactions, the minimum amount is 1500 EUR (or an equivalent sum in other currency); for Overnight deposits - 100,000 EUR (or an equivalent sum in other currency); for term deposits - 15,000 EUR (or an equivalent sum in other currency).

  • Reports. The Traderoom system provides various reports on the past operations and transaction history, as well as on transactions still in processing. The customer can set up various report formatting and filtering criteria.
  • News and analysis. The Traderoom system provides financial market overviews, currency charts and other informational materials.

How to become a Traderoom user?

You don’t need to install any specialized or paid software in order to become a Traderoom user.

You need to be connected to the internet and be a user of Swedbank’s remote banking services. In addition to that, you’ll need to sign the Traderoom Use Agreement and the Agreement for Financial Market Transactions. In the Traderoom Use Agreement, you’ll need to specify the individuals who will be entitled to operate your accounts in the Traderoom system and the access rights of such individuals. Your contact at the bank (your account manager) will help you set up the necessary agreements and will answer any questions you may have.
